Informational Messages:
Parsing DFD DFDnumber: DFDname
This message indicates a parsing phase on the given DFD.
* Opened Data Dictionary DATA.DCT
This message indicates that the Data Dictionary will now be parsed.
Parsing may take quite a while, depending on the size of the dictionary,
and the speed of your machine.
* File %s had XXX entries and XXX errors
This message provides a summary of the number of "sentences" in the
data dictionary, and the number of errors found in the data dictionary.
Error Messages:
Illegal switch |-XXX| ignored
This message indicates that a run-time argument given to the tool was
not acceptable. Such arguments are ignored for DDEVAL.
Error opening DFDfilename! Skipping...
This message indicates that the given DFD filename could not be opened.
The usual reason is that it does not exist. Another directory?

*** OUT OF MEMORY: Further output degraded
This message indicates that the limit of DD items possible in the
current environment has been exceeded. No further items will be
added to the dictionary. Further output is based only on the items
loaded so far.
Fatal: Data dictionary phase failed. Aborting
This message indicates that the data dictionary could not be loaded
properly. No further processing will take place.
Report Messages:
The following values appear in DFDs, but not in the Data Dictionary
The list of values following are names of flows or stores that appear
in one of the dataflow diagrams requested to be scanned (default: the
main chain -1*) but were not included in the data dictionary. This error
is caused by either an incomplete data dictionary (which can be rectified
by running DDBUILD again) or by running DDEVAL against a set of diagrams
that are not intended to be in the data dictionary.
The following values appear in the Data Dictionary, but are undefined
The list of values following are used on the right side of a data
dictionary definition, but are themselves undefined. This error is
caused by incompletely specifying data dictionary elements. If the
elements on the right side of the definition cannot be broken down
further, they should be defined as PRIMITIVE.
The following values appear in the Data Dictionary, but are To Be Defined (TBD)
The list of values following are defined as TBD. This error indicates
that definitions have not been supplied for the indicated elements.
DDBUILD adds all flows and stores to the Data Dictionary with the definition
TBD.
